REMOVES ANTHRAX FROM THE AIR YOU BREATHE!

Now more than ever, Americans are realizing the threat of Biological contamination. Bioguard air filter provides a first layer of defense for your home. It is critical that you invest in a filter that will clean the air you breathe and provide protection for your family. Not only does Bioguards design filter out particles, it is treated with a patented Biocide that kills bacteria, mold, and fungus. This combination produces an excellent barrier between your home and biological contaminants.

How Bioguard Kills Bacteria (including anthrax)

An actual photo of the anthrax bacteria is shown above. The chart to the right shows the results of a scientific test conducted using two filters. One filter was a normal household filter, and the other was the BIOGUARD AIR FILTER. After conducting nine tests, the results were plotted on the graph above. As you can see, each test consistently proved that the BIOGUARD filter removes 80-90% of Biological contaminants from the airstream. Our patented Biocide applied to 100% of the filters fibers causes significant damage to the growth of Anthrax cultures and proves extremely effective under scientific testing.

How Bioguard Removes Anthrax Spores

An actual photo of Anthrax spores is shown above. Anthrax spores are very difficult to kill. Because of their cell wall, it is difficult to penetrate with Biocides. Given this problem, we designed the Bioguard air filter to funnel out the anthrax spores by developing an intricate weave of polyester fibers that trap the spores. Each fiber is also treated with a non-migrating tackifier that holds each spore to the polyester fiber and prevents it from moving out of the filter and into the air you breathe. A normal household filter captures 3-5% of these spores. Anthrax spores average approximately 3 microns in size. That is about 1/100the the size of the tip of a human hair. Scientific tests were conducted on particles of different micron size to determine how effective the BIOGUARD FILTER was at removing contaminants. The results are listed above. Based on the test above the BIOGUARD FILTER removes 89-93% of Anthrax Spores.

The BIOGUARD FILTER is constructed using two specially designed pieces of polyester medias. The first polyester media is made from three layers of different size fibers that are "woven" to different densities which strains out the contaminants. A 9 gauge galvanized wire frame is inserted between the two layers and the medias are dielectrically heat sealed together to hold the frame inside. A 1-2" media overlap is left around the wire ring. This media overlap provides a snug fit into the A/C unit eliminating air bypass around the filter.
