HOW TO INSTALL Fits in any home or office A/C unit. | ![]() |
Easy Installation:
| STEP 1: Measure
your current air filter before ordering. Your air filter is usually located behind a panel on your A/C unit. Ocasionally a screwdriver, or 5/16" nut driver are required to remove the panel. Remove the filter and measure. The filter has three dimensions (Length, Width, and Depth). The depth of the filter is how thick it is. Biooguard has a universall depth that fits any filter housing. Its snug fit allows it to be stable in any track width. The only measurements needed are the Length and Width. Typical widths may be 14x20 or 19.5x19.5 or 16x20 or 15.5 x 24.5, etc. You will need the size when ordering the Bioguard filter. STEP 2: Install the bioguard filter Your Bioguard filter is not reversible. It is important for the correct side to come in contact with the fresh air being supplied to the A/C unit. One side of the filter is labeled DOWNSTREAM in green text. This side should be downstream of airflow. Your current filter may have an arrow on its side telling you which way the air is flowing. Also the DOWNSTREAM text should face the evaporator coil of your unit. Another easy hint is to realize that the ductwork is bringing the air to the unit, so usually, the downstream text should face the unit. STEP 3: Disposal The Bioguard filter can be disposed of as normal trash. If biological contaminants have been confirmed in your area, handle as any other hazardous waste, with extreme care.
